Today's guest is young, beautiful, athletic and smart. Her name is Julia Ama and she was born in São Paulo, Brazil. In the U.S. Julia attended the prestigious Stanford University where she studied Mechanical Engineering while competing on the Stanford Women's Swim Team throughout her four years in college. As a successful swimmer she is an NCAA All-American in the 200 m relay 2016 and a Brazilian National Champion in the 100 m butterfly 2012. Winning the national title led her to representing Brazil at the 2012 Fina World Cup where she finished eight in the 50 m butterfly. She was also as close as you can come to qualifying for the Olympic Team 2012 and 2016.
Throughout her time at Stanford, Julia explored her career options in a variety of fields. She started with UX/UI design at Samsung, moved to Product Management at GoPro, and later took up Rocket Propulsion at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
She now works in Santa Monica, California as a Product Engineer.
